Sterilize Jars

Method 1:
Wash glass jars and lids in hot soapy water and rinse.
Place in a pot and cover with water. Bring to the boil and boil for 5 minutes.
Pre heat oven to 50c and turn off.
Place a clean tea towel onto a baking tray, remove jars and lids from water using tongs, then lay the jars down side ways and the lids facing down on the tray.
Place in the oven to dry off.
Method 2:
Wash glass jars and lids in hot soapy water and rinse.
Place jars and lids into the dishwasher and wash.
Allow to dry in the dishwasher.
Note:
When adding sauces or jams to the jars, make sure your jars aren’t cold otherwise you risk shattering them.
If your sauces and jams are hot, your jars also must be hot.
